HSI Employee Spotlight

You know her, you love her… here’s Denise!

When she’s not golfing, scrapbooking, or spending time with her grandchildren, you can find Denise at Home Solutions of Iowa. She is the “office mom” and continues to be an asset to our team daily. As Lead Inside Sales and Schedule Coordinator, Denise is responsible for answering phone calls, customer service, and “putting out fires” as she likes to say.

In her current role, she enjoys overseeing the other team members in her department. As the lead, the others still come to her for questions, and she likes helping in any way she can. Denise interacts with other departments but mainly communicates with the estimators while scheduling appointments for customers. In this position, you must be highly organized with strong customer service and multi-tasking skills. The biggest challenge in this role is keeping on top of everything. With continuous phone calls, it’s important to never miss scheduling an appointment.

Denise celebrated her 15th year with the company in March. Throughout her entire career, she is most proud of her attendance in the office and receiving the MVP award. She described the most rewarding part of her job as being thanked and feeling appreciated. Just a simple, “good job Denise” is enough to keep her going. Her favorite part about working for HSI is the rewards – the friendships you make and all the perks from the company’s affiliations (ex: attending concerts or sporting events). When asked if she could share a memorable workplace story, she described the Christmas parties and the limo Joe used to rent for those events. Other than holiday parties, she appreciates any team building events to grow relationships with all the employees.
