Iowa Build My Future 2022
Teaching Our Love Of Skilled Trades: Build My Future 2022
Iowa Build My Future event took place on April 13, 2022. This event was to raise awareness about the skilled trades field, provide a hands-on approach to the various industries, and answer questions high school students have about the field of skilled trades. As a local community contractor, we believe it is important to start exposing students to this field as soon as possible. One of our values is providing opportunities for the youth of Central Iowa. They are the future of our workforce and teaching them about such a growing and rewarding industry in these students is important to us. We believe not all students need to go to college to find a good career and exterior home remodeling is a great opportunity for students who are wanting to go a different route.

One of our staff members, Adam Guise is teaching a high school student how to install a shingle on a roof.
Showcasing The Trades
Our staff set up a roofing display for students to experience a hands-on approach to building a roof. High school students throughout the state of Iowa got the opportunity to learn about the different installation steps we take in putting a roof on a home. Students were able to hammer a shingle on our roofing display, learning how shingles are to line up, where the nails are supposed to go, and why our roofing shingles are different than other roofing companies. The students loved getting the opportunity to take part in a hands-on event, with many of them raving about all the amazing activities they were able to do.
