A Year In Review: 2020 Was A Whirlwind
After 2020, it is important to look back at a year in review. Now more than ever, investing in the home has been one of the most important tasks on everyone’s to-do list and we have been so grateful to have the opportunity to serve customers throughout Iowa each and every day. Let’s take a look back at what we’ve been up to throughout the crazy year of 2020.
Local Community Contractor
Being an engaged and productive part of the communities we serve is one of the core tenets of our business. Our year in the community has looked much different than past years with the pandemic but we were still able to get out and enjoy some safe, socially distanced fun.
Iowa Wild Street Hockey Tournament
On October 10, Iowa Wild decided it was time to bust out the gear and invite the community to participate in a street hockey tournament. We had the opportunity to host this event and get a chance to see everyone enjoy some hockey fun.
Meals From The Heartland
On Friday, October 23rd, we took the afternoon off to volunteer at Meals From The Heartland. Packaging meals was a great way to give back, enjoy some quality company bonding, and enjoy a Friday afternoon away from the office.
Giving Back To The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
Finding different organizations to donate to is an important component to us. We were able to donate to the LLS to help make an impact in honor of those fighting cancer every day of their lives.
Helping Those Working On The Frontlines of COVID
This pandemic has taken a toll on many of us especially those working on the frontlines. We are eternally grateful for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day facing the challenges, fears, and uncertainty of this pandemic. We believe it is important that these essential workers and those they help get everything they need during the troubling times so as a part of Giving Tuesday we donated money to the Iowa Caregivers.

Every day we are committed to providing excellent customer service and quality workmanship. We are constantly working hard to get recognized for the great work our employees do every single day.
Named To Qualified Remodeler’s Top 500 List
We were named to the Top 500 Remodeler’s List for 2020 at a ranking of 182. We were ranked based on installed remodeling dollar volume, total years in business, industry association membership, industry certification, industry awards, and community service.
Selected For 2020 Remodeling 550 List
Out of 100 firms, we were listed at #56 being ranked on revenue earned from our remodeling work, sales & marketing tactics, employee benefits, experience in the remodeling business, and the types of remodeling jobs done by our company. Every year we strive to get closer and closer to the top of the list.
Named The Best of The Best
We received four awards for Cityview’s Best of The Best Awards. These awards are based on nominations solely from people in the Central Iowa community who thought we were the best in these categories: Best Local Home Improvement Company, Best Local Roofing Company, Best Local Contractor, and Best Local Customer Service.

We strive to be innovators in our day to day operations and love to celebrate those successes. Outside of the office, we like to take time to enjoy some company fun. Check out what accomplishments we made throughout 2020.
Decking Service In Full Swing
We expanded our Decking services by offering composite decking. More homeowners were staying home and this gave them the opportunity to get the deck of their dreams.
Hosted A Week of Giveaways
For the first time, we hosted a week of giveaways on our Facebook page. We held a contest giving away HSI swag with our big giveaway being a one of a kind Squirrel Tail Rain Barrel.
A Year In Review: Ready To Take On 2021
While 2020 has been an interesting year, we can say it was a great year for us here at Home Solutions of Iowa. We were so thankful to be able to provide homeowners with solutions to their exterior home needs. We are grateful for the effort and hard work that each and every one of our employees put in daily. We can’t wait for another amazing year at HSI!
